An Artist's Reflection

Hi there, I'm Mason Merrill, the artist behind everything you see here at Amadu Prints. Enamored by color, shape, composition, process and connection, I mostly operate as a digital artist creating abstract works that aim to calm the eye, invite reflection, and offer a sense of contemplation or ease - designed for people who see art as part of how they live, not just how they decorate.

My creative process is rooted in observation and balance - between discipline and spontaneity, between art and family. As husband to a beautiful wife and father to a 4 month old baby girl who takes after her mother's beauty, I’m more aware than ever of how we shape our spaces and how those spaces shape us, how we interact with others and them us, and the ever increasing influence of a smile rebounded off a newborns absorptive eyes. That awareness feeds directly into my work: thoughtful, pared-down compositions that explore movement, rhythm, and stillness through color, shape, composition and texture.

While I work primarily in digital media, I’m fascinated by all things creative and am continually expanding my practice into fine art and photography - each medium offering a new way to chase that elusive feeling of timelessness. I’m drawn to art that doesn’t demand your attention, but rewards it. My goal is to create pieces that linger quietly - art you live and grow with, not just look at.
